1. The environment of the led display board.

Is it indoor, semi-outdoor or outdoor? As for different environments, the waterproof requirements will be different. For outdoor full color led display signs, the waterproof requirement will be high, and it should be over IP65. According to the environment, customers can be roughly certain the purchase range, which is outdoor full color led sign, semi-outdoor full color led sign or indoor full color led display board.

2. The distance from the optimum viewing position to the display board, namely, visible distance.

This is distance is very important, as it will directly determine the model of the display board that you will purchase. Generally speaking, the models of indoor full color led display board include P3, P4, P4.81, P6, P8, P10 and P16 and the models of outdoor full color digital signage include P6, P8, P10 and P16. As a general rule, the minimum visible distance is the same with the pixel pitch, that is to say, the optimum viewing distance of P10 full color led display screen is >= 10 meters. However, this method is only estimation.

On the other hand, there is a relatively scientific method, which calculates by using the pixel density per square meter. For example, the pixel density of P10 led full color led display screen is 10,000dots per square meter, and the calculation formula of the optimum viewing distance will be 1400/√10000/m², which is 14 meters, that is to say, the optimum viewing distance of P10 display board is over 14m.
